Supply Chain Solutions Company Savage Announces Leadership Changes

SALT LAKE CITY (Feb. 5, 2015)—Savage today announced upcoming leadership changes at the Utah-based supply chain solutions company, which has more than 3,500 employees in over 200 locations across North America and internationally.

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board Allen Alexander announced his retirement from Savage after 37 years with the company, effective June 22. Alexander is stepping down to serve as a mission president for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Carolina. He will remain on the company’s Board of Directors, serving as Vice-Chairman.

Current Savage President and Chief Operating Officer Kirk Aubry will become Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1. Aubry will remain President of the company in addition to serving as CEO.

Aubry joined Savage in 2010 as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. He was named President in 2012. His past experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of Cadence, Vice-President of Textron and owner of his own business for twelve years.

“We appreciate the leadership Kirk Aubry has brought to this company,” said Alexander. “He has embraced and improved our strategy and is passionate about safety. I know that Kirk and our Senior Leadership Team will continue to successfully lead Savage into the future.”

With Alexander’s retirement, Benson Lewis, former Chief Financial Officer at Savage, will become the company’s Chairman of the Board. In this role, Lewis will provide leadership for the Board but will not be involved in the day-to-day management or work at the company.

Lewis has served in numerous capacities at Savage over the past 30 years, including his role as a member of the company’s Board of Directors and on its Senior Leadership Team, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and most recently as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
