Savage Appoints Kirk W. Aubry to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Salt Lake City, Utah – September 23, 2010 — Savage Companies (Savage) is pleased to announce that effective October 15, 2010 Kirk W. Aubry has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Aubry will lead the Company’s industry-focused business groups, its human resources and safety groups, and the engineering and procurement team. Aubry will report to Allen Alexander, Savage’s President, CEO and Chairman, become a member of its Board of Directors, and a member of the senior leadership team. It is planned that he will build upon the Company’s solid legacy of providing creative and high value service solutions.

Mr. Aubry brings to Savage more than 20 years of proven operational and leadership experience. Prior to accepting his new role, Mr. Aubry has been Managing Partner of the CEO Project, a unique organization that helps companies with process re-engineering and strategic thinking at the top executive level, and COO of a medical software organization, known as gloStream. Prior to that, he served as COO of Cadence Innovation, where he was responsible for almost 6,000 employees in more than 30 facilities around the world. Kirk also previously served as Vice President of Textron Inc., where Kirk led an enterprise-wide effort to improve the culture, structure, operation and composition of this multi-industry company.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he has spent the bulk of his career in and around the Detroit, Michigan area. Mr. Aubry holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Western Ontario. He and his wife, Katie, and their three children, Andrew, Alex and Megan will be relocating to the Salt Lake City area from Birmingham, Michigan.
