Canac Announces the Appointment of Gennaro Patella to Senior Leadership Post

Montreal (St Laurent), Quebec and Salt Lake City, Utah – July 30, 2010  Savage Companies (Savage) is pleased to announce that Gennaro Patella has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice-President and General Manager at CANAC Railway Services (CANAC, and the Company), based in Montreal, Quebec. Mr. Patella will build upon the Company’s solid legacy of providing creative railroad-based solutions over the last 39 years, and will focus on continuing to develop CANAC into a single source provider of end-to-end sustainable railroad solutions throughout the world. He will also help integrate the rail operations and consultancy services widely associated with CANAC’s brand with those of its parent company, Savage CANAC, a part of the Savage Companies (Savage).

Prior to accepting his new role, Mr. Patella was CANAC’s General Manager of Engineering where he oversaw CANAC’s engineering consulting services as well as the P-811 track renewal operations. Gennaro is a veteran with CANAC for over 17 years, and is a native of Quebec. He holds a Bachelors of Engineering degree from Polytechnique Montreal and a Masters of Engineering from Concordia University, of Montreal.
