Delsco Northwest Acquires Western Well Service, Adds Utah Oil RigsAugust 16, 2017
SALT LAKE CITY – Delsco Northwest, a division of Savage, has increased its well service and workover rig capabilities by acquiring Western Well Service, Inc. Founded in 2003 by a group of industry veterans, Utah-based Western Well has grown to become a leading provider of workover rig services in the Uinta Basin.
The purchase effectively doubles Delsco’s workover rigs in the Uinta Basin, giving the company 10 rigs servicing the area and creating a leading operational presence. Western Well’s existing blue chip client base and ability to perform complex, 24-hour operations provide additional value for Delsco’s existing and future customers.
“We’re excited to bring Western Well into our Delsco business and together build on the safe and reliable service both companies have demonstrated over many years,” said Terrence Savage, Senior Vice President and Energy Production & Transportation Industry Unit Leader at Savage. “Our new Team Members are some of the best workover rig operators in the country and will add to Delsco’s service capabilities in the Uinta Basin.”
Delsco has provided wellhead services since 1977 and joined Savage in 2014. Savage’s comprehensive oil and gas services include upstream, midstream and downstream solutions for producers and large oil companies throughout North America. In addition to supporting oil recovery and production at well sites, the Company transports products including crude oil, water, sand, and tubular pipe, and provides delivery to refineries by truck, rail and barge. Savage also operates crude-by-rail transload and offloading facilities.
