Savage Announces Binding Open Season for Savage Bakken Connector Pipeline in North Dakota

SALT LAKE CITY – Savage Bakken Connector, Inc. (“Savage”) is commencing a binding Open Season to solicit commitments for new pipeline facilities (the “Savage Bakken Connector Pipeline”) that would connect Savage Services Corporation’s Bakken Petroleum Services Hub in Trenton, North Dakota, to the Dakota Access Pipeline (“DAPL”) near Trenton, North Dakota.

The Savage Bakken Connector Pipeline will include approximately 2 miles of 10-inch interstate crude oil pipeline facilities. The Pipeline will have an initial capacity of 60,000 barrels per day, and an anticipated in-service date of June 1, 2017. Savage is seeking commitments from interested parties capable of committing to ship at least 10,000 barrels per day, for a minimum contract term of 18 months.  As a common carrier pipeline, as defined in the Interstate Commerce Act, the Pipeline would be subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Pipeline benefits to shippers include a direct, pipe-to-pipe connection from Savage’s Hub to DAPL’s pipeline system for further transport to prime markets, providing customers with greater optionality when combined with the Trenton Hub’s existing outbound options.

For more information, terms and conditions, please contact Savage. Interested parties will be required to execute a confidentiality agreement to receive all of the Open Season documents.  Parties interested in submitting binding bids for transportation service on the Pipeline will need to complete, execute and submit a binding Transportation Service Agreement prior to the close of the Open Season at 5 p.m. Mountain Time on May 19, 2017.
