Savage’s extensive network provides multiple distribution points for transloading of the products that are important to your business.

Savage serves some 20 petroleum refineries in North America with in-plant handling and management applications, dedicated transportation systems for petroleum coke and sulphur (guaranteeing off-take responsibility for these refinery co-products), and distribution terminals and ports serving coke and sulphur producers, marketers and consumers. Savage's refinery services include petroleum coke cutting, handling, terminalling and transportation, and the maintenance of related equipment. Savage continuously strives to maintain a positive working relationship with each refinery by performing these critical services with a high level of expertise, professionalism and reliability to ensure refining operations are not interrupted due to problems with the handling of by-product.

Through Savage's Gulf Sulphur Services LLLP (GSS), a joint venture (Savage is the operating partner) with The Mosaic Company ("Mosaic"), a NYSE-listed crop nutrition company formed through the merger of IMC Global Inc. and the Crop Nutrition division of Cargill, Incorporated, we operate the largest liquid-sulphur transportation, storage and logistics system in the United States. GSS has significant liquid storage tanks and facilities in Galveston, TX and Tampa, FL, and operates in the marine arena with liquid-sulphur barges on the Intracoastal Waterways of the lower Mississippi River and the Houston Ship Channel, and the M/V Sulphur Enterprise, the 25,000 long-ton liquid sulphur vessel that transports 1.6 million tons per year of sulphur transgulf across the Gulf of Mexico. The Sulphur Enterprise is the world's largest liquid-sulphur vessel. GSS has long-term offtake agreements with ExxonMobil, CITGO, BP, Motiva and Mosaic. GSS was able to use the strength of the credit of these major customers and the structure of the service agreements to obtain third-party term and revolving credit financing to finance a portion of the purchase price. Today, GSS accounts for approximately 40% of the U.S. Gulf Coast-bound liquid sulphur industry.

In 2005, GSS dedicated its new River Sulphur Facility (the "RSF"), the nation's largest sulphur-forming terminal and facility, with capacity to receive and form over one million tons annually, and load direct to Panamax-class bulk vessels for its refining customers. The RSF, located in Donaldsonville, LA, serves the sulphur storage and prilling needs in Southern Louisiana for ConocoPhillips, Motiva, Marathon and Exxonobil-all major petroleum refiners.

Savage also owns and/or operates large bulk terminals for coal, sulphur and petroleum coke with vessel or barge loading ports in California, Louisiana and Texas.
