Donald W. Alexander

Senior Vice President

Alexander joined the Savage organization in 1983 as fixed asset manager and later as a manager of Savage Brothers, Inc. (SBI), a company specializing in handling and transportation of dry bulk construction materials and other industrial minerals. During his tenure at SBI, he was instrumental in developing and operating terminals in Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Utah. He has managed many Savage operations including Heavy Haul Operations, Purchasing and Support Services, the Leasing Group and the Retail Sales Group.

Alexander’s greatest strength is in the development, startup and management of new operations with a focus on operations definition, disciplines and execution. He currently oversees the Rail Services Group which provides rail related servers for industrial organizations throughout the United States and Canada and handles millions of tons of dry bulk, liquid bulk, hazardous materials and food grade materials.

Alexander received a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University in Organizational Communication and Human Resource Development with an emphasis in training and development.
